INSTRUCTIONS

You can do the following with this media system:

  1. Upload Photos
  2. Upload Photos that Link anywhere  (like video)

Uploading Photos (including w/links)

  1. Photos must be 500K or smaller (that is a pretty big photo – easily 1024×1024 hi rez – which I recommend)
  2. *** Please resize all photos to max of 1024px *** (this will make automatically creating the thumbnail much faster)
  3. Photos must be of the type (jpg, png)
  4. You can upload a photo directly, or by url (similar to how you embed photos in the forum)
  5. You can add a caption, it can be long and will show long in the viewer, but will only show the first 15 characters in the gallery
  6. If you want to link to a video or another page, add the complete url to “Link URL:” in the upload form
  7. Add description if you wish – this will be appended to the title when the pic is opened

Uploading Videos

  1. At this time, please capture a picture of the video and save as a jpg or png.   Then, upload the photo (as the thumbnail) and enter the video link in the “Link URL:” field in the upload form.
  2. Be sure to use this form of the youtube link “http://youtube.com/v/xxxxxxxxx (replace xxxxxxx with specific play code)” – here is the code for a video I uploaded “http://youtube.com/v/ahqmUcsaeck”.
  3. To play video select ‘Play‘ in the upper right of the thumbnail.

    Future Enhancements:

    As soon as we get a bunch of media up here,  we can divide into categorized sub-galleries.   I will be working on that .   Please use the forum “New Website Ideas” to request enhancements.
